![]() Why? because the random maps are far better than the campaigns, give it a try you will notice it! I did attempt to finish the elven court campaign once (not so much the commonwealth one), but I didnt go past the 4th mission (5th if counting tutorial as mission) where you get the choice wether or not you want to destroy humanity or not. What choice you want to go with is all up to you, despite my many hours in this game I actualyl never bothered finishing the elven court and commonwealt campaign. ![]() Depending on your choice, either the war-mongering orc or peaceful goblin will leave your services in disgust. Spoiler: In the island mission (4th mission, not counting tutorial as mission) you will be given a choice wether or not you want to destroy humanity "for the greater good" or go with a more peaceful approach. This also makes it recommendable to focus leveling up your heroes, as rushing the enemy AI with super powered heroes usually is the only way to win the later missions in the campaign (really the campaigns and lacking tutorial are the weakest points of AoW3, random maps are much better). ![]() Generally speaking your leader will always switch when you complete a mission, the previous leader will be available in the next mission as a hero. In the desert mission (2nd proper mission, 3rd if you count the "tutorial" as a mission) you get to meet most of the heroes in the elven campaign. ![]()
